PRIVACY & ANALYTICS

A small site should have a clear privacy model.

This notice explains what information may be processed when you use josenanez.com, why analytics is used, and how you can control analytics storage.

Effective: August 25, 2026

1. Who is responsible for this site

josenanez.com is the professional research and advisory website of José Ñáñez. Privacy questions or requests can be sent to jose@josenanez.com.

2. What this site processes

The site has no user accounts and no public contact form. Normal web delivery may involve technical request information needed to serve and secure the site. If you contact José Ñáñez by email, the information you choose to provide is processed for that correspondence.

3. Analytics

The site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-8CH1DYVBTH) to understand page views, navigation patterns and the use of research content. Google Analytics may process session statistics, approximate geography, and browser and device information.

4. Analytics consent and cookies

Analytics storage is denied by default until you make a choice. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may use first-party analytics cookies such as _ga to distinguish users and sessions. If you reject analytics, analytics cookies are not read or written. Google Consent Mode may still send limited cookieless technical signals to Google for measurement and modeling. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization remain denied.

5. Why analytics is used

Analytics is used to understand which research is useful, how visitors move through the site, and where the experience can be improved. It is not used here to build advertising audiences or to personalize advertising.

6. Service providers and international processing

Google provides analytics and tag-management services. AWS provides hosting infrastructure. These providers may process technical data in multiple countries subject to their own privacy terms and safeguards.

7. Retention

Analytics retention is governed by the configuration of the Google Analytics property and Google's service settings. Correspondence and other information are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were received or as required by applicable law.

8. Your choices and rights

You can accept, reject or later change your analytics preference. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection regarding personal information processed through this site.

9. Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the site, analytics configuration or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
